This book is a real eye opener as its Author Jonathan Cahn looks at a 3000 year old mystery known as the Shemitah that ties Biblical events to modern history with a time line that’s hair raising to say the least.

This book is a real wakeup call and overall we give it 5 Angels out of 5 as it really makes you think about the situation the world finds itself in and specifically the U.S. in now with many years of God being removed from many areas of our lives.

When you really get into this book and with one of its examples of how in Vietnam we lost our first war and shortly before that abortion was allowed basically offending God.

And as you look at how this very similar things happened to Israel in the Bible such as in

Isaiah 9:10
“The bricks have fallen down,
But we will rebuild with hewn stones;
The sycamores are cut down,
But we will replace them with cedars.”

And how the Bible will warn those about how when we go down a path of destruction and continue to not heed the word of God there may be consequences.

As Jonathan sites example after example basically tying allot of modern day events to a biblical time line known and the Shemitah which every seven years these events take place with uncanny accuracy.

In one example (probably the most interesting part of the book for me) this writer points to events around the World War Two time frame and how the rise to power and the how the events took place that placed many nations in a position of shifting power. Some nations that had ruled for many years lost power and new nations gained power.

These events that this writer goes into great detail to describe and portray with a biblical accuracy that again is a real eye opener that we should all pay attention to what God is saying to us.

When we walk with the Lord and stay close to him and his ways we can live at a higher level but when we start to stray from his path we venture into the unknown or the wrath of the Shemitah.

Overall this is a interesting read and somewhat long in the tooth as timeline after timeline is laid out but I myself an Author can see why he wrote it this way as really he had to, with events taking place

in a certain order it forces you to have a tendency to list them in rapid succession so the reader doesn’t get confused by breaking them apart too much.

Once again a great read and warning to all of us to walk with God and follow his ways with all our heart and read and understand the bible and its many lessons as we see here in this great read The Mystery of the Shemitah

Have a Blessed Day,

Bradley Paul
