  1. After a weeks of searching for God’s direction within the job market I came to a point of “determined faith”.

    I have been struggling for weeks to try to understand where God has put me as far as a job and where I believe He is calling me. I want to be a full time college instructor but God has provided a part time job with a land survey company. To add to my confusion I have had several interviews with a large construction company over the past few weeks which I thought was going to lead to a job that may of taken me away from teaching. And to add additional unknowns I am waiting to hear from the college about one full time position that may be available in August.

    So here is what I have come to rest on, or to base my “determined faith” on;
    As a follower of Jesus Christ I know His promises, and His love for me, I know whatever plans He has are plans to prosper not to harm me, but to develop my faith. Lord you may not open the door for the full time teaching job but what You have planned is to help me develop my trust in You.

    My prayer is now this;
    Lord, what ever direction you take me in the next 30 days I know it is of your perfect will for my life. I will not question that direction because I know you love me and want the best for me. I resolve today to have the “determined faith” that my life is completely in your hands and that your will be done and not mine.
    Lord you know the desires of my heart but you also know what is best for me and I am determined to not question that direction but to have faith in your direction that you set plainly before me.
    Thank you Lord for being completely in control every day and not just for the next 30 days, but all of my days.
    I know whatever the out come over the next 30 days it will strengthen and elevate my faith to the next level.
