God’s Not Dead Reviewed.
This movie is bar none, one of the best movies I have seen ever! It takes y
ou on an emotional roller coaster from the very beginning!
If your are a believer or not, you will find this movie most interesting. When you start to look at the way movies are starting to change for the better, you can put this at the top of the must see list.
In Gods Not Dead it pits a college professor played by Kevin Sorbo, against a freshman student played by Shane Harper, with the question you guessed it, is God dead?
The movie does a great job of keeping you spiritually riveted and actively leaves you wanting more of the scenes in which God is being talked about or better yet seeing lives changed for the better. Christian movies some times are lacking in this department but not this one. Many times we have to try and dig through a murky plot to find the biblical perspective, but not in this movie. God’s not dead really goes the extra mile to give the Christian perspective as we all know, the enemy likes to increase attacks on us as we stand up for God.
The professor at the heart of the controversy is bitter over an incident in his childhood and caused him to turn from God in a real way. He remains bitter and carries it over to the class room and tries to influence students in a not so good way, as he tries to lead people into non belief. The actor does a great job of making this believable and really gets in to the character.
The freshman student a Christian, does a outstanding job of creating effective arguments in favor of the almighty. As I was watching it, inside I was screaming YES there is a God and he is real and he can change your life for the better!
Many times these type of movies miss the mark and fall short of promoting God in a positive light. God’s not Dead is not one of them . It is very uplifting, almost from the start. It ties the characters together in a neat package and with a surprise ending that we were not expecting.
I would recommend this movie to anyone of all ages and especially to those who do not know Jesus, this a great way to introduce them to the Lord. This move is not to overwhelming and is a great way to introduce any person to Christianity. It has a way of relating to young and old in a meaningful way. It would be hard pressed for someone not to be moved by this and is actually a five Angel hit.
Many Christians and myself included hope to see more of this type of movie as it actually makes for great family entertainment, I applaud the producers and look forward to more of the same type of movies. I think in many ways we have a real chance of making a huge difference to many generations if our entertainment gauge continues to go up and great material is produced.
Have a Blessed Day,
